See you on the 11th!
The 2nd Annual Garden party will be held on July 11th, 2010. I will be showing the new paintings and photography I have been working on over the past year . My new work focuses on landscape once again and is a combination of my old and new painting styles. Strong, intense lines with more subtle and colorful detail.
Look forward to seeing you at the Garden Party!

The North Shore News showed up at the Garden Party. Here’s the piece they ran in the July 22nd issue.
Thanks again to everyone who made the show such a success!

Thanks to all those who attended this year’s Garden Party and for making it such a successful event. A special thank-you goes out to both of my parents Glenn and Maureen for all their help and contributions. The show simply would not have happened without them!

Below are some photos from the show. I will also be posting the remaining artwork from the show shortly as well. I hope everyone has a phenomenal summer and look forward to seeing you all again at next year’s Garden Party!
Cheers!

It’s hard to believe that mid-July is almost upon us which means so is the highly anticipated Garden Party!
The landscape paintings have been progressing at a much better pace than the color series. Probably because of the familiarity I have with painting landscapes. That being said, the color series turned out better then originally planned. The paintings began taking on a life of their own and became like a math equation that I had to figure out. Fortunately I’m much better at painting then I ever was at math and was able to come up with an answer!
Here are a couple photos of paintings of both the abstract series titled “Beneath the Surface” and the landscape series titled “BC Scenery”.

Only 3 weeks until the Garden Party! The abstract color series has progressed nicely and are now going into their final polishing phase. I have begun outlining the new landscape series which will end up being quite similar to the ones I did for the Ian Tan Gallery show in ’07.
Hope to see everyone there!

I hope you are able to join us for a fun and lively afternoon/evening of art, music, cocktails and appetizers on Thursday, July 16th from 4pm-9pm.
Over the past 6 months I’ve been working on 3 different series of paintings and a variety of different types of photographs. My main focus in my paintings, has been to explore color theory, texture and composition through the subject of flowers and plants. I have also produced some new landscape pieces as well as they seemed to be popular among many!
Check this site often as I will be previewing some of the work on the blog.
See you there!

This is a project I completed for Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival titled Eco-Friendly Wine: Over-Hyped, Over-Priced? It was a symposium discussing green wine marketing initiatives.
